Mentoring, Motivating & Making it Happen...
The ingredients required for success in broad terms are-

Parental Mentoring which includes building aspirations and providing guidance & motivation and of course the financial support towards those aspirations.
School Mentoring which includes academic counselling, career counselling and additional tutoring as per individual needs.
Good Education- Schooling, higher education and all-round development of life skills like communication, digital literacy and Functional Mathematics

All of the above are part and parcel in the life of any family which has had an academic and a financially strong lineage, and have the resources and the knowhow of passing it on to the children.
Families who do not have that academic and financial backing need help to begin somewhere. Their children will then be the first-generation learners and over future generations will graduate to a more fruitful and productive life all round.

In keeping with our vision and mission of bettering lives through education, weCan plays the dual role of academic mentoring with the required financial support, and all that is required towards good education.
The weCan Way...
-
Select the candidates based of financial background, their sincerity towards education, academic capability and last but not the least a desire to succeed.
-
Assess the child’s present level, weaknesses and strengths- through school interaction and parental inputs.
-
Address the weaknesses- arrange for additional tutoring, regular follow-ups with the school & tutors
-
Career Counselling- creating awareness of possibilities and guidance to choose the best path in an appropriate college for the child.
-
Psychological Counselling- Very often children from less priviledged backgrounds do carry psychological baggage which might be hurdles in their path to success. Motivational mentoring is very important to make children aspire, perspire and achieve.
-
College Ready- Just academic certification and college admission is not enough. Basic life skills required for sustenance in this competitive world are Communication, Digital Literacy & Functional Mathematics.
-
Full financial responsibility for all of the above.
Udaan is weCan’s contribution towards a more balanced society, progressive country and a better world.
